Thanks so much Diana - I will ensure that there is proper attribution and that the links get posted if they end up finding a slot to discuss the material (which I sincerely hope they do). Appreciate it!!
I love everything you're doing, Diana--feels like I know you by now! I'm taking a four-week course on Christian Nationalism right now that is one of the OLLI courses sponsored by the University of Virginia. I have learned so much about the history of the movement and how far back it goes. I wish every American could be made aware of this history. We were sent a pdf of a reading collection; I'll see if I can get it to you by email or something.
nd our Monday evening group meeting here in FFX, VA will be studying Dr. Barbara Rossing's text : "The Rapture Exposed" a refutation of the whole bad theological treatment of the Book of Revelation by the likes of Tim LaHaye, John Hagee and Hal Lindsey. Their Dispensationalist view of history lends itself perfectly to the Christofundamentalist mindset so prevalent in Christian Nationalism/Nationism
Thanks for this Diana - But I have a specific question. Since I come from the academy and the issues of intellectual property are important, I would appreciate your specific response to the following question. Your invitation, as I read it, is as members of the Cottage, to use the questions in a group setting. I am going to make the assumption that the group would include members and nonmembers, but that with a member leading the group, that would be OK. What I am less sure about is if it would be OK with you if a member were to forward these three specific "sessions/questions/reflections" to nonmembers who might be leading a discussion group in my local congregation? That could be stepping over a boundary, so rather than making an assumption about that - I thought I would ask you explicitly. I look forward to your answer. Thanks, and thanks as always for your insightful and ongoing work.
Hi Jim. This is an open post and can be forwarded to anyone. I hope it will be widely read and used. Just make sure my name stays attached - as well as links to the original
Christian Nationalism or White Christian Nationalism ie the subject of the week!
Last night I attended a zoom seminar “The Psychology of Christian Nationalism” by Rev. Dr. Pamela Cooper-White (she wrote a book with this title). It was sponsored by the Clergy Emergency League. It was well done!
Tonight Westar is sponsoring a zoom seminar “The Rise of Christian Nationalism” 7-8:30 pm EDT. This is an online panel discussion with Jeff Robbins, Catherine Keller, and Clayton Crocket.
With all of this attention on this subject, let us hope the Word spreads🙏
How do Christian Nationalists envision the future of all the other religions people practice in the USA if they come to total power?
Thanks a million these are words I can use and pass on
Appreciate this lucid discussion. My own thoughts on Christian nationalism vs. civil religion and Christian socialism just went live: https://nickcoccoma.substack.com/p/american-nations-part-vii
I appreciate your writings and everything you are doing to keep us awake and aware. Thank you.
Your efforts are very much appreciated!

Just shared this with our online grassroots Sunday morning discussion & sharing group, "Fourth & Walnut" (thanks to Thomas Merton).
What a wonderful resource, Diana! Thank you so much for pulling it together for us.
Sent this to Maine Council of Churches as a follow up to discussion on the topic next week of new book on Christian Nationalism.
Diana, Thank you for the incredible teaching that keeps us awake to what’s happening in our country!!
Wendell Berry makes a clear comparison. Choose Patriotism as it is the way to inclusiveness & love for everyone💙❤️🤍
Thanks for your great work!
I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the work and resources at https://www.christiansagainstchristiannationalism.org/ .

That's a good book!
