I have seen too many people get paralyzed by trying to determine what God wants them to do. I don't think God cares whether you eat chicken or fish. I was once told "Do what you want and make God look good". Love God and Love your neighbour.

Thank you! If it is of, for, with LOVE, it is of God.

Wonderful! Thank you. What scares me most are those who are certain they know God's will and go about harming others (LGBTQ etc.) in God's name. Rather than using "God's will" I have often framed it in terms of God has hopes and dreams for each of us...that we use our gifts and talents for the good of all God's people. Your framing is similar and I appreciate it.

For so many of us, God's will runs against ours, or if a choice is to be made, the harder one, we assume, is the one God wants for us. So reading your musings yesterday inspired me to forward them to friends who can really use them in their own ministry.

Your musings are an inspiration always, a grace-filled food for the soul. Thank you ❤️

I thank you for today's musings.

I am attaching excerpt from Richard Rohr's Meditations of Friday Jan. 21, 2022. Doesn't it seem to say that hopefully we live in all of God's Creation:

Our very suffering now, our condensed presence on this common nest that we have largely fouled, will soon be the one thing that we finally share in common. It might well be the one thing that will bring us together politically and religiously. The earth and its life systems, on which we all entirely depend might soon become the very things that will convert us to a simple lifestyle, to necessary community, and to an inherent and universal sense of reverence for the Holy. We all breathe the same air and drink the same water. There are no Jewish, Christian, or Muslim versions of these universal elements. All water is “holy water” even before the benefit of a priest’s waved hand. It is always and everywhere two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, and voilà—we have the absolute miracle of liquid water, absolutely necessary for all that lives

This earth indeed is the very Body of God, and it is from this body that we are born, live, suffer, and resurrect to eternal life. Either all is God’s Great Project, or we may rightly wonder whether anything is.

I thank you for this. I feel held in security and deeply loved. Sometimes, unfortunately, I can become confused and conflicted; confusion swirls into my thoughts. However, this Marcus Borg excerpt brings clarity, wholeness, and a reminder of Grace and all it’s goodness.

Well! Well! Books have been written about God’s will! Courses, classes, sermons, etc. have been created about the will of God. Simply and succinctly you given full meaning to this concept. A Big Heart of Gratitude for doing this!!!

Thank you for this Diana. Another question might be "Why does God will these things?." As a dancing theologian, I follow the wisdom of body and soul, what I call ensoulment. For me, God's will is in a duet with the free will of every living being in a Divine Dance. When we align to the dances design we experience ourselves in beauty, grace, wild fun, and inspired social growth. We can feel it, notice it and practice the art of ensoulment. The physicality of grace flows from attuning to Divine Design, (Will). Suffering is part of the Design. The question is how to dance with it.
