This poem left me cold ... reminded me of folks who tip the hat to Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, and hurry on to Easter. There are times when we just need to hang the harp on the willow tree, sit down, and weep.
Delight this morning! On January 6th Epiphany a 2:00 AM phone call from our granddaughter told us her apartment building was on fire.(Every person in affected building was out safely) We were able to house her until replacement apartment was ready. Her plants are still here and they spent two days in a smoke filled apartment before being brought here. An orchid had buds. One bigger then the rest greeted me open this morning!!!! Its outer shell grey and brittle the flower a deep rich royal purple. delight and joy this last Sunday of Epiphany and or Transfiguration!
To get the right balance between awe and sadness is difficult but if we get it wrong then we may never find awe and we need awe, I need awe so thank you.
