I was so eager to read this book when I learned of it, so am grateful that you actually shared the author reading it and sharing the illustrations. My only regret was that instead of recognizing the women at the tomb, he spoke of "the people". I wished he would have upheld the role of the women in this very important story. I am always looking for children's books about Scripture stories that I can share with my granddaughters that help us claim the powerful women who have been a part of our Christian heritage. Otherwise the message is a meaningful one that give us all greater incite into the Resurrection story and how it relates to us today;

Thank you so much, Diana! I was feeling just the same. Having offered contemplative passion retreats for a while now our little one has grown into a pre-schooler and we were wondering how else we can do passion week which would suit our child. We felt a bit embarrassed even how difficult we found it to explain this story to a child. I think it is the most important challenge for religion to always bring it back so a child can understand it. So thank you, thank you for sharing this lovely story. The first thing on Substack I can read to my child! Blessings to all.

After hearing your thoughts on the meaning of the Celtic cross in your podcast conversation with John Phillip Newell (very appreciated) I wrote a Good Friday reflection while at the Manucha Conference Center in Oregon. It is posted on my author's website at lindalawrencehunt.com as part of my Soul Space Stories newsletter. I would forward it directly, but not sure how to best do this for you. Thanks for sharing your own theological journey!

This is my biggest struggle. Creating a foundation for my children as I wade through the inconsistencies of my faith and fear that I won’t provide enough and won’t protect enough… thank you for a thoughtful resource.

This is the kind of reading we all need today -- not just children, but as a child, to recognize the power of love that is God's gift. Thank you for gifting me with this book's reading. Thank you, Walter, for filming your dad's reading.

Hi Diana, I would like to purchase 2 copies of this book. I found Paul's facebook page and texted him asking how to purchase these books. Do you know where I could purchase the Books? Thank you for your service by writing your thoughts and messages to us through The Cottage.
