I really enjoyed this free wheeling conversation. Particularly the questions about just transition for mainline churches. We own a big expensive structure in our tiny New England village. Many funds dedicated to repairing the steeple. Ouch

What an engaging conversation! I was captivated by the part about mainline churches needing to challenge the theological statements of evangelicals. I'd love to hear regular conversations between the two of you.

That was delicious. We are enjoined to "fear not."

In my NH town, neither the Episcopal Church nor the ELCA congregation could afford to maintain their respective buildings. So the Episcopalians sold their building to the Boys and Girls Club and moved in with the Lutherans, maintaining separate services and clergy.

The waters were a little choppy at first, but we now have a single service using both liturgies and share a single pastor/priest. We are happy to report that finding a place to park and a pew to sit in is becoming more problematic. The Spirit sure does work in unexpected ways!

Great discussion how we have more common as progressive Christians- than any differences, we are rooted in Gospel.

I like greater understanding, tolerance, appreciation, and even celebrating our differences, :-)

This is my first time at Wild Goose Festival where Thursday I heard Bill and Brian McLaren during the day, and heard you and Bill live yesterday. It was “hot” indeed! It’s been a serendipitous experience so far! I had no idea until a few days ago that it was within a mere 30 minute commute from my mother’s house where I have stayed as she’s healed from fractures. Her ability to be left alone coincided with the Goose and been our “test flights” for my leaving her nest to return to my home soon. Lol. I now understand your excitement about Wild Goose Festival! It’s my people too!!! Enjoy!

That session was the highlight of the Goose for me! Happy to have heard the updates from listening to the taped version last year. In person was even more exhilarating! So pleased to have had the chance to meet you both!

You may be curious, but there are answers in terms of metaphysics and hidden operations of power described in the annals of The Aetherius Society, in which the foundations for the New Age were laid down in the postwar years, by the work and sacrifices of Dr.George King (1919-1997).

There are strange stories for seekers of Truth in these works.
