Am in the midst of reading Freeing Jesus right now as part of a study group....several of us plan to be in St. Simons in January.

TodAy my first born is 62, and I remember those feelings when I first held her. Now within days I will hear about my first Greatgrand son's arrival. My daughter will have the joy of being present at the home birth!

I've never thought about childbirth as revelation, but to read that you didn't fully comprehend the concept of being "born from above" until you gave birth is very interesting and insightful. My wife and I did not receive this gift/revelation as we struggled with infertility and rather than go down the road of medical/scientific assistance we opted for adoption. While this life is full of incompleteness, I'll live with the hope that God grants those of us who've not experienced childbirth firsthand other beautiful experiences that manifest the presence of God in such an intimate and special way. The mysteries of the incarnation and our own spiritual birth are many - thank you for sharing this one.
