Diana - in my homily/meditation at yesterdays service i incorporated BC:AD and Good is the Flesh, as well as The Mystery of the Incarnation by Denise Levertov. We had John as our reading. I just got around to reading Musings and was happy to see that you love them too
I do look forward to this column, it helps me see things in new ways. Repristinated Genesis, in particular. Thank you to Diana and all the commentators who enlarge my spiritual world. A blessed Christmas to all.
Christmas blessings Diana, to you and your family. Thank you for all the inspirational words you have shared with us this past year. It is a gift that I treasure.
Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you, Diana, for your writings and thoughts. I’m thinking how people travel and gather, across wide geographies, to do our own family census. And as we are open to the spirit in our excitement to gather and listen, new things are birthed from hugs, conversations, and bread shared. God is here.
Many times on Christmas Eve especially over the last twenty years circumstances of weather kept us from taking children out for much loved services. We developed our own service of telling , reading the story from the various Gospels , and putting baby Jesus in the manger after we have done that having discussion about The Story. This year weather kept us at home with our adult Grand daughter visiting and continuing the tradition of putting Jesus in the manger. As adults we read and discussed the three Gospels take on the stories, My take ours and your wonderful musings had a reconstructing of the Christmas Story in meaningful ways for the 21st.Century. This morning we lit the Christ Candle, ,Hot Chocolate, tea cookies stockings, presents and presence. Gratitude and Merry Christmas Everyone
Merry Christmas! I am enjoying the quiet while my husband is walking the dog. The "gratitude" theme which we explored in November (and where I entered The Cottage) is flowing through my thoughts. I'm grateful to have discovered Diana. I was scratching my head to think of something to do for a neighbor who is ill and alone and also for a friend from church who has been in the hospital for many months in a lot of pain. Not certain they would appreciate it, I gathered my courage and gave both a subscription to The Cottage. To my relief, they were delighted to remembered and looked after in this way.
MERRY CHRISTMAS E VERYONE. I/M SO GRATEFUL FOR DIANE AND ALL OF YOU. C HRISTMS IS THE CORE OF GRATITUDE. THAT WHAT I HOPE IT MEAns to me and others.

See you in a couple of weeks
“Do Justice, Love kindness, Walk humbly with your God.”
Joy!
Joy!
I see an invitation to share greetings, prayers, poetry, and such in these here comments; would a hymn be acceptable? If you know the hymn “Comfort, comfort ye my people,” this one sings well to that tune. http://hymnsbycharlesfreeman.blogspot.com/2022/01/come-you-faithful-ones-rejoicing.html

Merry Christmas, Diana. And thank you for your amazing words.
Jesus' birth was declaration of Amazing Grace and what enables us to be amazing. To be kinder than necessary. Such a world is amazing.

I so love the celebrating circle of crones (at least that is how I see it!). Where did you get it?
The world rebirth in God! Merry Christmas, Diana!
