In seminary we were required to take not only the basic ethics class but also an ethics elective. I chose to do what was an STM (Sacred Theological Master's, a post MDiv segree) level course on Reinhold Niebuhr. My final paper was about his understandi0 and ethics of the Eschaton and I wish I had known of this poem prayer by Madeiline L'Engel at that time. Thank you for it at this most needed time.
