Thank you for bringing the suffering and horror of Jesus’ crucifiction to life showing that we still watch with horror the inhumanity of man. May we learn to treat out fellow man with color blindness.
I keep wondering why NO ONE intervened? It's not like they were watching ruthless Roman centurions. With all the cellphones out and filming, they could have: someoneS in the surrounding AND FILMINGFILMINGFILMING crowd could have intervened. Instead, they chose to film his murder. To me, that makes his wrongful death -- seen round the world -- even more WRONG.
So many then and now are truly traumatized by what they saw 2020 years ago as presently; thank you once again for making such a revealing link by your faith and pen. May you go serenely into this Easter...
I am stunned. How powerful this is! And I'll admit - I did not see it coming. (How could I have missed this?) Thank you, Diana, for waking me up to this truth. So much to think about...
I live about a mile from the site of that murder. It is amazing to see the sacred memorial now called George Floyd Square. Neighbors and friends care for it. Despite what some media outlets have portrayed, Minneapolis is not a city of violence. Thank you for a real portrayal of who we are and how we are suffering.
Indeed this is the most accurate refelection on Good Friday that Ivthink will be presented. The jury is also 'witnessing' the event- some emotionally overcome. Thank you Diana for your poignant reflection and especially for your truth telling.
Thanks Diana, you have nailed it. Watching the witnesses share their stories of helplessness in the brutal murder of George Floyd is directly linked to execution of Jesus.

Beautiful, it makes our ancient story true today. It is all the same

Passion on the street! Pain in the heart! Where is hope? Just days away!
Thank you so much for sharing this. It moved me to tears, and I could feel God's presence with me as I read.
