Keeping you in my heart as you navigate health challenges (prayer remains complicated but I do attempt it from time to time). Thank you for inviting Brian McLaren in. His voice is always incredibly helpful, as is "A Beautiful Year." With your help, I feel like I am clawing my way back to some form of faith. Always grateful.
May you find comfort from the fact that your readers who have not met you in person are "standing" with you in support as you live your medical procedures journey. I think of "after the rain, comes the sunshine." I appreciate that sometimes the rainy days can feel like flooding. I am sending those thoughts and prayers to you.
Thank you for accompanying me through your writing on my spiritual journey of "sagehood."
So hard to practice what we preach. Thanks for inviting us in...you are my grace this morning. And, I find Brian McLaren to be a wise counsel on this journey of life.
The meditation is not only true, it is eloquent. The re-thinking of the words that we know too well is the key to salvation. The stagnant meaning of words we have not thought for ourselves is the "perish" part. I loved "Faith After Doubt," which was my introduction to Brian McLaren. I just wrote about those liberating words in my blog called "Where is Your Doubt?" I will keep writing about them every day I write.
Thank you, Brian. I've been wrestling with defining and exploring what is sin, the gospel, the kingdom of God, and more. And I relate to your deconstructing Evangelicism 101.
Diana, Friends/Quakers have a saying, we hold you, your family, and the medical team in the Light🕯️
Thank you, Diana and Brian. I am reading this just after viewing the extensive escalation of war in the middle east on this Monday morning news. I appreciate you both for being present with us through your teachings. Peace and love, dear friends.
thanks for asking Brian to step in for you.... and may the healing of the holy ones continue to be at work in your life. And may they bring comfort and peace to you, to Richard and your daughter. Blessings!
Diana, I must have missed that you are having medical issues in the mist of the horrors of war and states revoking trans licenses.
Please know you are in my prayers and also now how grateful I am for your voice and your book, A Beautiful Year.
All of it, your medical woes, the national war woes and the discriminatory hell coming out of the current regime and its cult followers woes are only bearable with your beautiful words and Christ bearing perspective. Thank you and be well.
Medical tests can be difficult, but evaluation and treatment are the best options. “I’m with you,” as my brother in law used to say. This community will continue to support you. Linda in Montreal 🇨🇦

A Beautiful Year is such a gift to me as is the cottage. Thank you Diana, and know you are surrounded by prayer.

God bless you Ms. Butler Bass.
Prayers for healing, which in my tradition, UCC, means salvation and wholeness. And thank you for having Brian sit in for you.
