Good Morning Diana, Well you are preaching to the choir here, and I am so grateful to you for bringing this inhumane situation to everyone’s attention!!!

When you were at Good Shepherd in Sahuarita did Randy take you to the Border. He helped start a group called the Samaritan. We did just what you urge us to consider. This group and many church members supported this ministry.

The group did searches in the desert to find migrants in destress, and many other services.

I was a member for over 17 years and had the privilege of even washing the feet of migrants, and helping at a Catholic soup Kitcheon. On one such day, I started washing a man’s feet, and to my horror the whole bottom of he’s foot was a blister. He was sent to a Nogales hospital.

Now living in T X, I am horrified that the Governor started this action. Is is political. I down loaded the Republican state platform, and all the issues such as IMMIGRATION, same sex marriage, abortion etc are in that platoon to abandon.

I ask that you and your subscribers consider helping defeat this Governor. Send money to the BETO campaign. He is our hope for TX. His commitment to helping migrants are primary. We Democrats are struggling because, the Republicans are pouring so much money to keep him in office.

Diana THANDK YOU for bringing this issue to our attention. It is an opportunity for us who call our selves Christians and Americans to find ways to help.

The glorious response by the People in Martha's Vineyard stuck me as Christ in action, too. It was so beautiful, especially in comparison with the sad, hate-filled words spoken by the "power-holders". It was truly a bright spot in the week allowing hope for a better country to endure. This is a perfect mediation on what we are all about, if we call ourselves "Christian." This morning I marveled at the ads for weekend services in the newspaper. So many churches and places of worship! Mostly "Christian." Yet so many hate-mongers have been chosen for the primaries in our state, as well as throughout the country. Just mind-boggling. Please...continue to preach, Diana, some of us are listening!!
