Welcome to this open episode of my private podcast, The Secret Garden.
This morning, I preached at Bedford Presbyterian Church in Bedford, New York. They’ve been doing a sermon and education series on Grounded - and they asked me to come and be in their midst to celebrate the installation of their new pastor (and my friend), Rev. Carol Howard Merritt.
The sermon is called Gratitude as Spiritual Saltiness. It is based on a text from Mark’s gospel: “For everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good; but if salt has lost its saltiness, how can you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
Join me on this lovely Sunday and listen in. May your life be seasoned with gratitude. Set a table of grace (no more power pyramids!) and don’t forget to pass the salt.
