If you missed Advent Sunday Musings, you may want to read it before continuing with today’s Advent calendar “window” — God is Near.
“Near” is about time and place, both imminence and immanence. Imminence speaks to God’s immediacy; immanence reveals a God who dwells within.
The last sentence in Sunday’s post read, “God is Near. Maybe near is enough. Not just imminent, but immanent. We aren’t just waiting. But God already dwells with us. Advent is the season of now and here. Keep awake to that.”
